Performance and Security Evaluation on a Blockchain Architecture for License Plate Recognition Systems

Since the early 2000s, life in cities has changed significantly due to Internet of Things (IoT). This concept enables developers integrate different devices collecting, storing, and processing a large amount data, enabling new services improve various professional personal activities. However, privacy issues arise with data generated, solutions based on blockchain technology smart contract have been developed address these issues. Nevertheless, several must still be taken into account when developing architectures aimed at IoT scenario because security flaws exist contracts, mainly lack ease building code. article presents storage architecture focused license plate recognition (LPR) systems for focusing privacy, performance, security. The proposed relies Ethereum platform. Each matches preferences anonymized through public encryption. captured by LPR system can only done if it. case motivation foreseen legislation, competent user change enable system. Experimental results show that performance is satisfactory, regarding scalability built private network. Furthermore, tests our using structure analysis tools script demonstrate solution fraud-proof. obtained all experiments bring evidence feasible used real scenarios.
